HAJIYA RASHIDA YAHAYA BELLO EARLY LIFE & CARRIER
Rashida Bello(née Imodagbe) born 2 May 1985 in Jattu , Edo State. She studied Accounting at the University of Abuja . Upon graduation, she went on to do her NYSC as would as Nigerian graduate.
Before the successful election of her husband Yahaya Bello, Rashida worked at Fairplus International where she rose to the level of a director. She appeared on the cover of celebrity magazine.
Philanthropy and advocacy
Asides being the first lady of the state, Rashida runs an NGO - Rashida Bello Foundation with focus on capacity building, skill acquisition, healthcare support, women and child rights advocacy, moral and ethical support, societal reformation, educational support and career enhancement. She has, through her NGO, mobilised health equipment worth million of naira for some clinics in the state. She also runs a women's empowerment foundation which seeks to empower women, youths and the vulnerable economically through education or learning of trades and supporting them in establishing their own businesses, delivering quality healthcare to the people at the grassroots and generally improving the health and economic status of women, youths and the vulnerable.
